Welcome to Saigon Mobile DevCamp!

This September 26th and 27th there will be a Mobile Dev Camp in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together professional and enthusiast developers to exchange ideas around the latest mobile platforms (iPhone, Android, Symbian, Palm, …). More importantly, the venue will host a 24-hour coding competition, where participants can form teams and build applications using the newest technologies, all under expert guidance.
The event will be free and open to anybody, and expects to draw around 100 programmers.

We only have a limited amount of space, so be sure to register soon enough.
REGISTER NOW!, it’s free and takes less than 2 minutes.
GENERAL PLANNING

This Mobile Dev Camp, as a developer-focused event will focus more on workshops rather than keynotes. In the morning after an introduction, experts will begin leading workshops on the newest mobile platforms, exploring interesting application ideas, and leading “how-to” talks for developers. Multiple sessions will happen concurrently, and developers will attend whichever sessions are most interesting to them. Also, some workshops will be repeated, so that developers can more easily explore everything they want to see.

Learn more about the agenda in “Workshops & Agenda“.

OS

THE 24 HOUR CODING CONTEST

In the afternoon, developers will form teams around ideas for applications, and, with guidance from the workshop leaders, begin a 24-hour application development competition. There will be prizes for different kinds of applications (e.g. best video app for iPhone), and the workshop leaders will coach the teams through the devevelopment process. The venue will remain open to teams of devs overnight, and the next day winners will be judged and announced. Prizes will be given to each team that submits a complete app, and the best apps, of course may have a bright future if one of the companies in attendance wants the app developed for production :)

Learn more about this contest in “Mobile DevCamp Code-a-thon“.

LOCATION

The event will be hosted by Restaurant Le Sud – Nhu Y, 4 Thao Dien, An Phu, District 2. It opened just a couple weeks ago and is the perfect place for an event like the Mobile Dev Camp.
